In this course, we reflect upon the experience of the coronavirus in Italy, one of the first countries in Europe ravaged by the virus. We take as a counterpoint our experience in the United States to compare, contrast, and apprehend the transnational repercussions of the pandemic. Key themes orient our study: mobility, biopolitics, immunization, and resilience.
